I just found out my story YOU’LL NEVER BE LUNCH IN THIS TOWN AGAIN, published in the Mondo Zombie Anthology (edited by John Skipp) received Honorable Mention in The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror 2007: 20th Annual Collection. The other mention was here. I found it when signing up for Shelfari and looking to see what books of mine they had on file. My name popped up, I did a ‘search this book’ in Amazon…and there it was!
Nifty, eh?
I’m not surprised. It’s a hilarious depiction of:
a-pseudo-intellectual directors
b-dimwit producers
c-“reality-challenged actors.
Of course everyone in the story is a bit “reality-challenged”. In fact the zombies are the only ones who know just what the hell thy’re supposed to do. Which probably makes them the heroes.
It’s a great story and deserves all the mention (and re-printing) it can get.
Face it-you’ve got a classic on your hands. 🙂 LOL.
Outstanding,Dana! And many congratulations!
So very cool! Though for a total out-of-the-blue surprise, it’s no surprise – before you wrote “Champagne,” YNBLITTA was my favorite Dana story, and it’s still way up there.
