Well think about it. The guy cons kids into nudging their folks to buy endless amounts of chocolate bars (just to find the hidden coupon), thus hooking numberless innocents on the deadly produce of the cocoa bean. Turning the future guardians of freedom into debased chocaholics!!! Think of it; a whole generation of virtual zombies hungering for one thing.

It was years ago that I went to see the Willie Wonka movie with my friend. I still remember us picking out our seat at the theater, but don’t remember too much about the movie, except for the chocolate, of course.

I SO adore Gene Wilder, in this and in Young Frankenstein, especially. The remake of Willy Wonka with Johnny Depp disappointed me. As much as I love Depp, his channeling of Michael Jackson really creeped me out!
My favorite kid-eliminator scene is probably Violet’s turning into a blueberry. She wasn’t my least favorite brat, but the sight of her round little body being rolled toward the juicer always makes me laugh.
I so love the dark underside of that movie. Great picture, it captures the dark perfectly
Doesn’t matter who plays Willy Wonka. He comes across as creepy.
That movie scared the crap out of me.
