A Typical Summer Day in San Francisco

I did not take either of these pictures, but I assure you they are accurate representations of San Francisco weather during the summer months.  The picture above was taken at Ocean Beach, which is four blocks from my house.  I’d say 80 percent of my beach walks are taken in weather like that depicted in this shot.

  1. I like San Francisco. Been a few times and will go there more now that my daughter lives there. Even though we think of CA as warm, I think of it as cold. I always take a jacket, even in the summer. Still beautiful, though.

  2. I love it here because of the cold and the fog. I do miss my tan, but my skin and hair love the fog. I probably look much younger than I would had I stayed in Glendale and those hot, dry summers.

Marvin, I googled ‘san francisco fog’ under Google Images and found those. I’m gonna go back and see if I can find names and credit the photographers. I was rushed this morning and snuck this in at work…

  3. I believe it was Mark Twain who said something along the lines of, “I can’t wait for summer to be over so it will finally be warm in San Franciso”.
My favorite times at the beach are in the overcast, or even in the winter, mostly because it’s uncrowded then!
